Manchester Airport introduced a new numbered signage system in March 2026. When driving to the airport, follow these P-numbers on road signs to reach the correct car park for Terminal 2:

Driving Directions to Meet & Greet T2 (P1)
Exit the M56 at Junction 5 and keep left, following signs for Terminal 2. At the first roundabout, take the second exit towards T2. At the second roundabout (Flag Island, marked with flags), take the second exit signposted P1 (Terminal 2 Meet & Greet). The road curves to the right — after approximately 200 metres you will see the P1 car park entrance on your left. Enter and follow the ramp up to the roof-level reception area.
Multi-Storey T2 East and T2 West (P1 / P3)
Terminal 2 has two multi-storey car parks, both within easy walking distance of the check-in hall. They are undercover, self-park facilities where you keep your keys and find your car exactly where you left it when you return.
Multi-Storey T2 East (P1) is the closest self-park option, offering a walk of just 1–5 minutes to the terminal. It shares signage with the Meet & Greet area but is a separate, self-park product. All spaces are covered.
Multi-Storey T2 West (P3) is equally close, around 3–5 minutes on foot. From 25 March 2026, this car park operates a fully barrierless system — there are no physical barriers on entry or exit and no on-site payment machines. ANPR cameras record your number plate automatically. You can either set up an Autopay account in advance at the airport's online payment portal, or pay as a guest by midnight the day after your visit. Failure to pay will result in a £100 parking charge notice (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days).
Both multi-storey car parks have a height restriction of 2.0 metres (6 ft 6 in), and the maximum pre-bookable stay is typically 10 days, though this may be reduced during peak periods. T2 Park & Walk (P4)
Park & Walk is one of the newer official car parks for Terminal 2 passengers. It is an uncovered, ground-level facility located approximately five minutes' walk from the terminal entrance. Unlike the multi-storey car parks, parking here is at surface level, which makes it a good option for drivers of taller vehicles that cannot clear the 2.0-metre height restriction in the multi-storey buildings.
You park your own car, keep your keys, and walk to the terminal. No shuttle bus is needed. The car park uses ANPR for entry and exit. It is best suited for short to mid-length stays.
Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12)
Previously known as the Terminal 1 Multi Storey, this car park was rebranded as Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12) in late 2025 following the closure of Terminal 1. It now serves Terminal 2 passengers and offers a middle ground between the premium-priced multi-storey car parks next to the terminal and the budget JetParks options further away.
The walk to Terminal 2 takes approximately 10–20 minutes via the covered Skylink elevated walkway, which includes moving travelators for part of the route. No shuttle bus is required. On arrival at the airport, follow signs to Terminal 3 and P12 Mid Stay — the car park is located between the two terminals.
Mid Stay is ideal for trips of around 3–7 days. It is a self-park, keep-your-keys facility with ANPR entry and exit. JetParks 1 — Terminal 2 Exclusive
JetParks 1 is the only JetParks car park that serves Terminal 2 exclusively. It is located on Thorley Lane (postcode M90 5AZ), a short distance from the terminal, and is connected by a free shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The bus journey takes approximately 5–6 minutes.
This is a self-park, keep-your-keys facility with ANPR barriers. The surface is gravel rather than tarmac. The minimum stay is 3 days, making it unsuitable for quick overnight trips or pick-ups — use the multi-storey or Park & Walk options for shorter visits instead.
JetParks 1 also doubles as the airport's free drop-off point. If someone is dropping you off and wants to avoid the £5+ forecourt charge, they can drive to JetParks 1 and drop you in the car park for free (up to 60 minutes). You then take the same shuttle bus to Terminal 2.

Drop & Go (P16) is located near Terminal 3. Terminal 2 passengers take a free shuttle bus from the car park, which takes around 5–10 minutes. The shuttle runs 24/7.

Drop Off and Pick Up at Terminal 2

To avoid the forecourt charge entirely, use the free drop-off area at JetParks 1 on Thorley Lane. You can stay for up to 60 minutes free of charge.
