Main Motorway Access - M56 Junction 5
Manchester Airport has its own dedicated exit, Junction 5 on the M56 motorway. An orbital road, Airport Spur (A555), connects this junction to all three terminals and the airport's transport hub, The Station. Simply follow the signs for the terminal you need once you exit the motorway.
Driving Directions from Key Areas
From Manchester City Centre (North)
The most direct route is via the A5103 Princess Parkway, which merges directly onto the M56 motorway. The journey is typically 20-25 minutes in clear traffic.
From the South (via M6)
If travelling north on the M6, exit at Junction 19 and take the A556 towards Altrincham. This road will lead you directly to the M56. Join the M56 eastbound and continue to Junction 5 for the airport.
